South African secondary listing
Deutsche Konsum REIT-AG listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (“JSE”) as a secondary listing by way of an introduction (“Secondary Listing”).
The Financial Surveillance Department of the South African Reserve Bank approved the inward Secondary Listing and classified the inward Secondary Listing as a “domestic investment” on the JSE for exchange control purposes.
The Deutsche Konsum Secondary Listing is expected to take place on Monday, 8 March 2021. Deutsche Konsum published an abridged pre-listing statement on the Stock Exchange News Service of the JSE and a full pre-listing announcement on this site on Monday, 22 February 2021.
Deutsche Konsum believes that pursuing the Secondary Listing will in time improve the depth and spread of the shareholder base of the Company, thereby improving over time the liquidity and tradability of its shares and ensuring the Company is accessing a wider pool of international capital. The Secondary Listing provides South African investors, both institutional and private, with an opportunity to participate in the future income and capital performance of the Company.
